Deborah was my Aunt. In fact, she still is and always will be. That's because, if anything - Deborah is persistent when it comes to staying in touch with those she loved! The texts with newspaper clippings, the videos and GIFs and of course the surprise packages in the post - so I have no doubt that Deborah intends on 'keeping in touch' still! Wherever she is smiling at us from - she will be there. That I am sure of. Some of my fondest memories of Deborah are when I was growing up, with weekend visits, trampoline competitions, cricket matches and summer holidays shared. The advice shared, the compassion and care with which she looked after anyone and everyone was always striking - and I have been privileged to be a part of that. I want to thank Deborah too; for continuing that shared sense of love and endless capacity to reach out to others. It is an inspiration for how we can and ought to lead our lives, and it is a quality with which I greatly admire her for. I believe Deborah had a zest for life which oozed out of her whether it be through stories of her own childhood as anecdotes, or suggesting some ideas which may at the time have seemed a bit wayward - but of course were really just courageous and right! A famous Proverb says that "No Matter How Tall The Mountain Is - It Can Never Block The Sun" and for me this is Deborah's way. Her zing. Her advice. We all love you so very much Deborah and are still smiling with you now. You'll be in my heart. Steph (& Mark & Arthur & Joseph) xxx
