Caterina 14th March 2021

Approximately four years ago Deborah and Simon became our neighbours. We were so happy to have such a lovely couple living next door to us. We soon became friends, meeting in each others houses and sharing looking after each others cats. During the first lockdown we would meet outside clapping for the NHS and on the anniversary of the Battle of Britain we met outside with glasses of wine and nibbles. While Deborah was well enough we exchanged books, deliveries and kept in touch through WhatsApp. Despite her condition, Deborah could still see the funny side of things and kept us well supplied with Jokes. In her last week and obviously not feeling well, she insisted that she gave us a set of activities and a cat puzzle for my grandchildren. Her thoughtfulness, her concern for others, love for her garden and her gentle nature will stay in our hearts forever. We feel we have lost a true friend. Love to you all from Caterina & Richard
