Anita and Paul 13th March 2021

Dear Deborah, Thank you so much for everything you have given to our family. You were an amazing older sister to Anita, a kind and generous aunt to Laura and Hollyann, and a lovely sister-in-law who was always so welcoming to me and to us all. I have many memories of you looking after us and cooking wonderful meals when we came to stay, and your smiles and hugs when we arrived. You sent so many cards and creative ideas – just recently the ‘decorate a windmill’ – ours are whirling with the wind, at this very minute. I also have fond recollections of your ‘sponsor a penguin’ for Laura at Marwell Zoo – yet another creative idea. It led to several enjoyable trips with the wider family to see ‘Eva’ – who we thought looked the scruffiest penguin of them all, but we found out that this was because Eva was sitting on a nest at the time. Manor House Hotel, barbeques, National Trust – so many fun family events. Another memory I have is that Darryl was the first baby I ever held – I come from a very small family, and you trusted me to hold him (sitting on a sofa, of course), when he was just a newborn. I remember you being a perfect bridesmaid at our wedding, and I could see you were so happy for us. You were responsible for the heaviest birthday present I have ever received – as I sit here writing I can see our bird bath, which has been a magnet for the birds in our garden for a long time. Your absence from our lives will be missed forever. Love Paul xx
